Iconeek is proud to introduce here an extremely fine and rare early, large, rose gold Boucheron Reflet.

The story of Reflet begins in 1947, with the birth of the Modernism movement. Art becomes “contemporary”. Visual arts, fashion and especially architecture and design are thrillingly daring. Finally, the timepiece Gérard Boucheron always dreamed of wearing is created in the Maison’s workshop : sculpted godroons, stretched out shapes and invisible clasp. Reflet, both ultra-modern and stylistically emblematic of 1950s design, is the Maison Boucheron’s watchmaking Grand Classic.

With Omega movement, caliber 302, bearing movement number 15’860’398, the present watch can be dated from 1956. Caliber 302 is a tonneau-shaped copper colored, 17 jewels, manual winding movement, with lateral lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, flat balance spring and index regulator. The snap on case back of the watch is proudly engraved « Boucheron Paris » and also engraved with Omega logo and case no. 908247.

From the famous Parisian jeweler, this superb, large, 18K pink gold, rectangular-shaped, wristwatch with interchangeable bracelet  is set with a two-body case, polished and brushed, fluted bezel, sides and hooded lugs, fluted gold winding crown. Under  the glass, a gold stripped dial with applied gold square and  round indexes and gold baton hands. Case numbered and signed Boucheron & Omega, movement numbered and signed Omega. Examples of this model in pink gold are particularly rare.

Probably one of the most famous luxury wristwatch designs of the 1960’s, the Boucheron Reflet has gained the status of true icon with its sliding clasp. A timeless beauty.
